What we collect
- Entry details: each runner's name and drink choice, team name, category.
- Contact details: the buyer's email address and an optional phone number.
- Order details: order number, amount paid and the Stripe payment reference. We never see or store card details.
- Race data: bib number, round, check-in time, finish time and any did-not-finish.
- Marketing consent, if you give one during sign-up.
Why, and on what legal basis
- Delivering your ticket and running the event — performance of a contract.
- Results and their publication — legitimate interest. Your name and time appear on the public results page.
- Accounting — legal obligation.
- Marketing emails — consent only, which you can withdraw at any time.
What is public
The results page shows the runner or team name, bib number, round and time. Email addresses, phone numbers and payment details never appear there. Contact us before the event if you would rather show only your bib number.

We do not sell data. Transfers to the United States rely on the EU standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Contact and entry details: 12 months after the event.
- Results (name, bib, time): indefinitely, as part of the event's history.
- Accounting records: six years, as required by Finnish accounting law.
- Marketing addresses: until you withdraw consent.
Cookies
One cookie, and only for organisers: it keeps whoever is signed in to the admin tools signed in. No advertising cookies. Anonymous statistics are collected only if you allow them.
Your rights
You can see the data we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to processing and receive it in a portable format. Write to aaltorunclub@gmail.com.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
